함양군, 결혼이민자 가족 모국방문 지원…7가정 22명 혜택

함양군은 총사업비 2,000만 원을 투입해 결혼이민자와 배우자, 자녀가 함께 모국을 방문할 수 있도록 가구당 최대 400만 원의 항공료를 지원하는 '2026년 결혼이민자 가족 모국 방문 지원사업'을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
사업은 5월부터 11월까지 진행되며 당초 5가정을 지원할 계획이었으나 항공료 절감 등에 따라 지원 대상을 확대해 올해는 7가정 22명이 혜택을 받게 됐다.
선정된 가족들은 네팔, 캄보디아, 필리핀, 미얀마 등을 방문할 예정이며, 5월 1가정이 이미 모국을 다녀왔고 나머지 6가정은 8월부터 순차적으로 출국한다.
함양군은 사업 추진에 앞서 두 차례 사전교육을 실시해 사업 안내와 안전교육, 서약서 작성 등을 진행했다.
함양군에는 올해 5월 기준 16개국 출신 결혼이민자 299명이 거주하고 있다. 군은 이번 사업이 결혼이민자의 가족 유대 회복과 자녀들의 다문화 이해 및 이중언어 인식 향상에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
